People pay big money for a Cockerpoo and it’s still a mutt.

while the ASPCA is doing a good job by neutering pets, they may have gone to far. Although they do not like the puppy mills, it appears that the American Heinz 57 breed is done.

Mixed breeds are less prone to particular disorders, physical or emotional, than mutts. Of course, some purebreds have great reps for being physically and mentally well-adjusted, but lots have “quirks”. Inbreeding, or breeding for particular traits doesn’t make better humans, so we shouldn’t expect it to in dogs, either.

When you’re poor, you own a mutt. When you’re rich, you possess a mixed breed.

I’ve owned mixed breeds in my lifetime. As a child, I had a full springer spaniel. Then we had two dogs that were a collie/spitz mix. Lastly, we had a lab/husky mix. These “mutts” can be gentle and affectionate.
