If you listen to the whole interview, he’s pissed that both sides are engaging in negative campaigning, but he clearly sees that the Repubiicans are dragging a lot more mud than Obama. He got REALLY angry that the GOP started raising funds on “I’m With Cory.” He said “if they want to be with me, help me fix what’s wrong with Newark.” He’s seen the damage that Republican presidents wreak on American cities, and Romney has promised to continue the tradition.
Watching all the “clips”, on ALL the media sources didn’t reveal what he was actually saying. On Maddow, he had the chance to sit down and clarify what he said, and the “situation”. He is NOT in any woodshed, and can still speak his peace, without the press cutting it to pieces.
Remember what happened if you “crossed” Cheney and Bush? They “outed” your wife, and possibly a large segment of our intelligence community, to “get even”.
