Yup, ever since our elected representatives in Congress hijacked the funds for these social programs to pretend to balance their budgets, deficits have been popping up all over. Their runaway spending and borrowing is the real problem, and having to pay for obligations that that have stolen all the cash out of will come to haunt them right quick.
He left out the military because they are needed to protect us…of course protection is why we have been specifically paying into social security and medicare for a number of years. Hmmm
Part D should NEGOTIATE PRICES. SS and Medicare taxes may indeed need to be increased, and payouts adjusted to assure “actuarial reality”, but killing the whole crop is stupid. Start taking consideration of the cost of “defense” into the deficit before concluding only social programs carry the blame. (Let’s NOT forget those “tax breaks” either!)
Exactly. When someone takes from another to give to someone else you have a victim, a thief, and a moocher. No good comes of it at all. Let people do good of their own free will. The government makes a horrible charity (and an unconstitutional one at that).
Social security can be fixed by simply raising the limit on the income, making it it progressive rather than regressive. One stroke, one pen. Only Republicans standing in the way of solvency.
Everyone should take care of themselves, no government hand-outs to anyone!! Period. If you cant afford your life then change it, and don’t have offspring if you cant afford them.
