My animals never mind the vacuum. In fact I had a cat who loved to be “dust busted” and I almost accidently sucked up another with the canister vac the other day. That beater bar would’ve hurt. He just doesn’t have the common sense to run away….or he’s too darn stubborn.

Satchel has a point. That vacuum at the start of Pink Floyd’s The Wall was pretty freaky …

I don’t think our cats are afraid of the vacuum – a little wary, perhaps…

One of our cats jumped atop the refridgerator and hid behind the phone books to escape the dread vacuum yesterday.

Our cats are only afraid of the attachments. The dog is afraid of the whole shebang. If you’re vacuuming, he’s not in that room with you!

We’d have to chase our dog away from the beater brush. And lawn mower. She’d have her nose in there just barking away.

There was an old (supposedly scary) sci-fi movie years ago, the name escapes me, but I remember the evil aliens looked just like vacuum cleaners…

Isn’t it the current version of the Hoover enterprise? pretty scary, actually. The Pod People who all signed with Groovin’ Grover the Northern Quisling are pretty scary, in a barfy sort of way.

they plug up with all the vile human detris, cat hair, loose change, cheeze doodles from under the couch, etc. I clean the DustBuster with the vacuum and clean the vacuum with the shop-vac and try not to look in that one until forced to.

Just ask a Dyson for further elucidation…it doesn’t matter much which one.

Forget the vacuum, I’m in the twilight zone. Bucky actually has a point in the last panel. This makes me question my whole idea of normality…

like the spelling “errors” .dogs chase vacuums or run & hide. Cats like the Roombas. They sit on them and direct them with a bat of a paw. .I leave my desk when the lady with the vacuum arrives. Safer,

Um…this strip has nothing to do with cats and vacuums. It’s the dog who is afraid of vacuums. Duh.
