Reporter: Mr. President, could you comment on recent allegations that you knew there was a recession as far back as September, but that you participated in a cover-up until the new unemployment figures forced your hand? Gerald Ford: Bob, I have said this before, and I will say it again - I had absolutely no prior knowledge of the recession! Moreover, I'm sick and tired of this obsession with recession! There are other more pressing problems to consider! For instance, ask me an Arab question! Anyone got an Arab question? Reporter: Yeah - when are we invading? Ford: Next week, but only if we're being strangled.
