"Snoopy, Lucy and Schroeder are standing in the rain with their Baseball gear and Lucy says,” I THINK WE’D BETTER QUIT” Schroeder replies,”I DO, TOO” <br> <br> ” IT’S GOING TO CLEAR UP...” <br> <br> Looking up into the Rain Charlie Brown says to,” I THINK IT’S GOING TO CLEAR UP...” <br> <br> Charlie Brown and Violet are standing in the field with their baseball bat and gloves and Charlie Brown is still looking up into the rainy sky. He tells Violet, ” I THINK IT’S GOING TO CLEAR UP...” Violet replies, ”YOU’RE OUT OF YOUR MIND, CHARLIE BROWN! Lucy, Violet are running off the field with their bat, and gloves saying,” WE’RE GOING HOME!” Charlie Brown replies,”BUT IT’S GOING TO CLEAR UP!” <br> <br> Patty runs by Charlie Brown with a newspaper over her head and Snoopy is running along side of her. One of the earliest examples of Charlie Brown’s complete devotion to the game. Much later Schulz did a series of strips in which Charlie and his pitcher’s mound appeared to be floating out to sea after a heavy rain (but he ended up in back of a supermarket).
