Peanuts by Charles Schulz for April 18, 1955
Transcript:
Charlie Brown is standing next to the fence in the field; he calls out to Pigpen as he walks by, "Hi, 'Pig-Pen'...where ya goin'?"

Pigpen declares, "As the duck is drawn to the pond, and as the rabbit is drawn to the brier patch..."

He concludes, "So am I drawn to the mud puddle!"

He smiles happily as he jumps into a mud puddle. Charlie Brown watches him, grimaces, and mutters, "Good Grief!"

Sorta see why Pig-Pen’s character was eventually dropped. He seems to be flat and with very little depth.
