Charlie Brown and Snoopy are sitting in the beanbag chair, watching TV. Sally stands behind them and says, "I hate that program!" Charlie Brown responds, "Who cares?"<BR><BR> Sally stands in profile and asks, "Why do you always watch such stupid programs?"<BR><BR> Snoopy and Charlie Brown are in profile. Charlie Brown answers, "They're not as stupid as the dumb records you listen to!"<BR><BR> Sally says, "My records aren't as dumb as the weird comic books you read!" Charlie Brown retorts, "What do you know about reading?"<BR><BR> Snoopy walks away. Sally and Charlie Brown turn to watch him go. Charlie Brown says, "Oh, no! Now, we've upset Snoopy.."<BR><BR> They look after him. Charlie Brown says, "See? Dogs don't like to hear family arguments..it makes them feel insecure..." Sally asks, "Where did he go?"<BR><BR> "Probably in the closet..." answers Charlie Brown as he walks.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown cajoles the closet door: "Come on out, Snoopy..everything is all right...we're not fighting anymore.."<BR><BR> Boo! Snoopy jumps out of the closet with his arms raised.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown tumbles backward through the air in surprise. PANEL 11: Charlie Brown lies dazxed and bruised on the floor. He says: "I can't stand it!"<BR><BR>
So, Snoopy finally came out of closet in 1989.
