Edda is reading on the sofa. Juliette approaches her and says: "You think one's status as a woman of the world depends on her facility to employ coarse wordage... ...Fine, here's a list of all the vile locutions I know..." Juliette says: "Look upon them if you dare." Edda examines the list and replies: "Wow! I've never heard these. What do they mean?" Juliette turns away and says: "A woman of the world is too refined to discuss it....Not too ignorant." As Edda walks away from the scene, Gran looks at the list and says to Juliette: "I've never heard of them either." Juliette whispers to her: "I made them up."
