"Well," said the woman in the lethal high heels, "I've got to get back to work." "Yes," said Edda, in quiet commiseration. "And I have to get to a rehearsal." The woman shook Edda's hand. "I'm glad I met you. I really envy you." "Oh, don't do that," said Edda. Go ahead, envy me, she thought. "By the way," said the woman, "What do you do for a real job?" Edda's fingernails dug slightly into the woman's hand. "I operate a little boutique on the Upper West Side - 'Enemas for Less.' Perhaps you've heard of it." And she walked away.
