There were a LOT of Iranians on my campus – mostly engineering students – and “Death To The Shah” rallies were commonplace, loud and heavily attended in the run up to the revolution. Dial it six months forward, when they realized they’d just traded out one dictator for another, and small bunches of them were holding anti-ayatollah rallies. Quite a few jeers and “Serves you rights” came their way.
