Merry Christmas from Brad and Brenda Braggart. Both children are having exceptional school years. Since early September, 12-year-old Haley has received nearly 400 text messages from classmates exclaiming just how sensational her outfits have been!

[Groan] O.K., like with the office jokes and the coffee songs, this running theme with the holiday messages is getting very, very old.

Actually find these a bit funnier than the office jokes and coffee songs but it does get a bit boring after a while

Guntoting and diane - I agree with you BOTH. Girls are told their image is so important at a young age now, it’s rediculous …
And having a cellphone at 12 would depend on the persons maturity. I personally know a couple of girls from my church who would be ok with cell phones at 12/13 … but then I see other girls who would NOT be a good candidate. It’s depends on each childs upbringing.

There are a lot of adults that should be liberated from the cell phones as well.

Too bad Brenda’s writing the letter and not Brad. That might be an interesting twist.
400 messages in a month? That’s it?

If I were Brad, I’d be seriously concerned about my daughter being so objectified. But then, I would not have passed on a name like Braggart; it’s not a name to be proud of. ;-D
