Laura: Ok, if we cut back to basic cable, eat out just once a week... Make all our coffee at home, raise our insurance deductibles and get a new cell phone carrier, we'll save $200 a month. Adam: Wow! That's $2,400 a year! Laura: Not bad, huh? Adam: Not bad? It's great! Now we can buy that flat-screen tv!

Now that I’m retired, I’m constantly in the “buy now b/c your time may be up soon” vs. “don’t buy now, because your time may not be up soon.”
