There are two brick-and-mortar stores on my regular beat. If I’m looking for something specific there’s a good chance that neither will have it, but they can get it to me as quickly as Amazon by ordering. In addition, both are very good for browsing, if I don’t know exactly what I want.
If I need to research a book, author or subject (i.e. to find out what titles or editions are in print), then I’ll use Amazon, and if I find something I like on Amazon I’ll go ahead and order from them.
