Adam: Hear that? Good old Simon and Garfunkel on lovely vinyl. Katy: What's vinyl? Adam: It's another name for music albums. This is how everyone used to listen to music. Katy: How many songs can you get on a record? Adam: Maybe six per side? Katy: Six per side? Seems inefficient. Adam: A "Bridge over Troubled Water" is not inefficient...it's much safer than swimming across!
The way I explain it to non-believers is this: CDs are a digital representation of the music; vinyl is the music.
