Laura; I would like to go to "Carmen" for dinner. Adam; Sounds pricey. Laura; The reviews are great, and my friend Linda said it's the best Italian food she's ever had. Adam; Linda? She's a Lawyer. Money's no object for her. Laura; We can get a nice bottle of wine and have a wonderful time. Adam; Wonderful and expensive. Laura; Are you adding up the cost in your head? Adam; $95 plus tip. I mean, no.

My aunt, in 2001, took myself and herself to dinner at Toronto’s “CN Tower” – the 360 Restaurant. The total, with tip and tax, was around $150. For two people.I should point out that their idea of a “prime rib dinner" is this:..

You never get good, reasonably priced food in a good setting. Eat first, then go to somewhere nice.

That’s why they have buffets—eat cheap and eat mucho! Then blow a wad on entertainment.

Adam’s the type of husband that thinks he doesn’t have to try anymore. He’s got the marriage, the kids, so now he thinks he can be lazy, fat, and cheap. Doesn’t he get that marriage-maintenance is essentially to STAYING married??? Put a crowbar in that wallet and take your wife out for a romantic evening, you yawbow!

My wife and I are both super penny aware so our big dinner out is Ponderosa during geezer time using coupons. Usually around 20.00 USD with tip.

We have a local fine dining establishment that is considered to be one of the best in the world. We have eaten their twice and the bill is at least $300 and worth every penny. My wife and I share a passion for food and usually find that we do better eating the food that we create than most restaurant chefs create. We dine out infrequently and when we find a place that is truly wonderful , do not mind paying for the experience. But when we find that we could have done better staying home, we feel gypped.

I thought she was picking the movie and he was picking the restaurant. My honey and I went out for his birthday $60 including tip, the food was very good, nice portions.

There is no reason for a meal for 2 to cost $300. That’s just F’ing wasteful!!

One of my “bucket list” items, to do before I die, is have a meal in Chef Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen”… I’d be the only guest thrown out, for telling Ramsay to go f*ck himself, and stop being a dick to the poor contestants! LOL

Adam ought to get a real job and he wouldn’t be so cheap. The wife Laura? deserves better.
