Adam: What are you making? Clayton: Fake blood. There's a recipe in this book. Adam: I don't like when the word "recipe" is used for something I can't eat. Like cement or homemade bugspray or something. A little part of me gets excited...and then I'm let down when it's not edible. It's a recipe for disaster, frankly. Clayton: Mom! He's "musing" again.
Fake blood is usually edible. Often it involves chocolat. Corn syrup, chocolate syrup, corn starch and red food dye are usually involved. For extra fun, add some Tabasco™ sauce.
