I’d say if he’s comfortable with his body the way it is that’s a lot more than many people can say. Who is he hurting. If someone doesn’t like the way he looks as they walk by then they can just keep on walking and mind their own business.
I remember some fifteen (15) years ago when Adam looked substantially younger, leaner.Laura was quite the looker too; still is but hasn’t retained the youthful glamour.Hey, the kids were looking only a few years younger than they are now and very much more precocious; and Nick seemed to make more appearances.
So, what’s happened over the years here? It’s almost like there is a simultaneous speed-up of “maturity” though lack of aging with the children – except maybe Nick who I can’t even remember the last time I saw him in the strip. Then, there’s the rather pronounced aging of Dad (and Mom?)!I mean, c’mon!
Adam used to get away with a lot, especially trips into town to the local coffee shop to work. Now’s he’s like “stuck at home?” Oh; and, he’s wanting to “catch some rays” – but in the front yard! Who does that? That’s a sign of, dare I say, “psychological” neuropathy, i.e. Adam is “going bonkers.”
How many days’ (drawings) will this story theme get? That’s another thing too?I can remember when a really good story theme could go on for two to three weeks. The themes were so good that they could be “re-used” every other year when the cartoonist (and family I’m guessing) would be on vacation.

The space station just called! They’ve spotted a glaring white reflection on the earths surface and wanted to know what was causing it?

This one made me sad… Adam’s face in the third panel. Guess I’m being too sensitive today.

Great way to promote social distancing. Everyone they know will want to stay as far away as humanely possible.
