This reminds me of a poignant story I read once. A young woman told how she would always admire the roses in a neighbor’s yard as she was out jogging. One day, she made an effort to get to know the elderly lady who lived there, and was out tending to her flowers again that day. She told her how much she admired her beautiful flowers, and envied her green thumb. She went on to say she saw them as she was jogging, and that she also envied the older lady her slim figure. The lady replied that it was easy to keep slim when you live on Social Security and love roses. (Gulp!)

After getting thru the last couple days here in the Midwest with that horrible ice / snow storm, I’m grateful I have power and my toilets flush.
