I’d just as soon watch shampoo commercials as watching golf.

Golf: Men in colored pants, walking.I play golf and watch it more than anything else on TV. You usually have to play to get it.A touring pro was asked what’s it feel like when you’re putting for the win? He said something like. Set the ball about 4 feet from the hole. Take a $20 from your wallet and put it in the cup. If you make the putt you get to keep the $20. If you don’t make the putt, you have to leave it in the cup for the next golfer that comes along.

Anybody that plays snooker or billiards may have played a game called “golf” on a 6×12 table. It’s not for sissies and it’s pretty fun to watch.

I both play golf (not too well) and watch it. Provided one knows what’s going on, it’s always fun to watch someone who’s very good doing something. -———————————————-And you have to have politically correct hair to be in a shampoo commercial.

I have watched. There I said it. I have watched golf. But on Hi-Def TV you can count the blades of grass. See the bumblebee on the flower at 100 metres. And actually see the ball when they do the camera shot to the sky. .But Sunday morning cartoons & the Sunday comics are way, Way more fun. :)

When I was a kid I’d watch golf on TV. I didn’t care about the game at all, I just liked the scenery.

If I were rich and lived on an estate, I’d hire a golf course designer to landscape it. I like the fairways, the greens (perfect picnic spots), the patches of trees and water and sand. Just leave out the holes.

I’ve watched golf LIVE.(Not by my own choice….dragged by my father, sometime in the early 1980’s, to a tournament while I was visiting him.)

Being outside with the (very small) crowd, up close, smelling the cut grass, feeling the breeze, etc, makes it a little more bearable to a non-fan, at first, than a TV broadcast…..

But you soon start to factor in being on your feet all afternoon in the hot sun, walking what starts to feel like long distances, following only one player, being absolutely quiet….. and no bathroom breaks, or snacks.

At least, even in someone else’s house, you can walk away from the TV.

I remember seeing golf on TV and listening to the talker dude speaking as if raising his voice might scare off the ball.GOOD STUFF
