“These held the hot stuff from the jug, however, as well as golden goblets would have done; and Bob served it out with beaming looks, while the chestnuts on the fire sputtered and cracked noisily.”
I wish I lived near Agnes, I would invite her and her grandmother over for Thanksgiving. She goes to church, why don’t some of those sanctimonious sods invite them to share? We have “orphans Thanksgiving” inviting as many people as we can who have no families nearby to share.with us.
What’s all this talk Bout last month’s Thanksgiving? Though I think we all would like an invite from MayKitten..Amazing what you can find in the freezer. And you don’t really need a whole turkey. There is surprisingly a lot of meat on a wing. From tip to elbow to shoulder. And if Grannie bought a couple of turkey necks – there’s the meat for soup.

This is exactly what we’re doing! And counting blessings. We’ve actually looking forward to the ‘buffet’, no company and quiet time. (and NO shopping)

Nothing was binned — the stuff to be removed became the dinner!

The spork is one of mankind’s great inventions. Sharpen the edges and one can do without THREE utensils. Save the beet casserole for me.

What’s really sad is that there are real people who don’t have enough to eat for Thanksgiving or any other day.

We church types invite people nearly every year for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sometimes they just want to stay home.

I’m going to assume you are being facetious. If not , I’m surprised you have time off from your bed and breakfast to comment on Agnes!
