A good comic strip can make you laugh, but a Great comic strip can not only make you laugh , it can get you to care about and root for it’s characters. Hang in there Agnes, I’m rooting for you and your Grandma.
It’s lucky that Agnes is not aware that, at Christmastime, The hospital world is staffed with temps, exhausted nurses working double shifts, green residents, junior assistants, and a bunch of folks who would rather be anywhere but here, but need to get double time to pay off their Christmas debts.
Awwww! This is a difficult time of year for me, yesterday was the 13th anniversary of my father’s passing and my mom (who passed away 32 years ago when I was only three) has a birthday coming up. At least in a comic strip we know there’s very little chance of someone not making it.
Yeah, I have seen stuff happen. Had a good friend die during what was considered a routine minor procedure. Also had my wife (who is physically quite small) close to being permanently over anesthetized. To the point where the surgeon came to her afterward and apologized. Curiously, the anesthesiologist didn’t.

She’ll be ok Agnes. Only a cold person would take their grandma away from them on Christmas. RIGHT Mr. Cochran??

Here’s another person rooting for Granny. Our medical world is marvelous; but sometimes things happen.
