It rarely happens in comic strips, but isn’t it usual to have a new teacher every year when you’re in elementary school? We always had the same gym teacher and a couple of other subjects like music and french had one teacher that taught all grades, but the main teacher we had for most subjects changed every year. It was the same for my kids.

It was only in junior high, or middle school, that we started getting teachers for specific subjects and potentially having the same teacher from year to year.

Has Agnes been talking to my sister. She also refused to believe dinosaurs existed. We’d g to the Smith, and she refused to even enter the Natural History Museum. “Honestly, how can people even waster their time on those ‘so called’ dinosaurs?”

Dani,My principal was convinced dinosaurs were the offspring of the fallen angels and humans. At least he accepted the bones actually existed.

The “orthoceras” paper weight is actually a rock from the Garden of Eden, hand-carved by Adam himself.

There was Mrs. “B” who didn’t last even a semester — but she had “problems.” (She had more than one screw loose, but we kids weren’t supposed to know that. When they rolled her out of the school on a gurney in a straight jacket screaming in terror about, “brain vampires,” I think that was a clue.

I wouldn’t be surprised if something like that happened to Agnes’s teacher by the end of the school year.

After a visit from Agnes – is the Principal feeling a little tired, fatigued, tummy upset, and aching joints? Not to worry – he has an Orthocecas paperweight. (yeah, I googled).
