When I was little, my grandparents had a Pomeranian mix dog, whose head was just at my hand level. I remember one day my grandmother sent me upstairs to wash my hands for dinner (lunch to most folks) and when I came down, Ching came over for a hug. I must have been sent back upstairs four times one day because I had “dog hands”. (Slow learner, huh?) Finally, my grandfather wrapped me in one of my grandmother’s aprons and told me to put my hands in my pockets until I got to the table.
