But yeah, more likely, the colorist didn’t read the strip.
I know one… they usually get one low-paid hour to color a whole week of one strip… so there’s often no time to read them, unless they just want to, on their own time.
Most cartoonists do their own Sundays,
and the syndicate colorists do the other 6 days.
In 60 minutes… and on deadline, besides… though they might get a couple of days to turn in their work…
A few do several strips, but most don’t.
If they take 20 minutes on one day they have less for the others, or they do some of it free,
Remember, girls… it’s for poufy hair.
Maybe you could make a poufy chicken.
Or giant popcorn!
