We never had an eight day clock when I was a kid, just the cheap ones you had to wind every day. Never lived in a trailer, but we did live in half a Quonset hut one year.
I’m trying to remember what other summer holidays there are. (Not just days of commemoration like Flag Day, but celebrations that mean something to a kid.)
I don’t see how anyone could eat one of those nasty things – especially since George Carlin told us about the “filth allowance” (which is a real thing) about half a century ago (oh, my – did I just type that?? If I’m not careful I’ll be getting old someday).
Happy Fourth! But I’d want to know exactly where the hot dogs came from, and how they were prepared, considering our past experiences with Agnes and food creation/preparation.

Grandma is right; strips like Agnes and Spot the Frog, with their gentle humor, are the antidote.

Always taking a chance trying to get an extra day out of a 7 day clock.. but life is risky as well.

we have a 400 day clock, made in Germany. Nice clock. We wind it on Christmas day (it was a Christmas present).

Same kind of day for me. Just with amateurs firing of crackers.

I grew up in trailers(various sizes) it isn’t the house, it’s the love and support in it that counts!

Yep, a country filled with nuts and not all of us are nonviolent.
