Seems to me the strip missed some good opportunities. First, we never found out much about the button-laden electric gizmo that Agnes found a few days ago. Then, we didn’t get to see how she concocted these candles (considering her ideas about how to create the various “foods” she whips up in the kitchen, I’d love to see what she thinks ought to go into a candle, what she uses for scents, and how she imagines you actually make one).

Candles. Wax nostalgic. Get it? Get it?

Reminds me of Hot August Night a 1972 live double album by Neil Diamond. One of two concerts at the Greek Theatre. Fantastic!

Trout makes an excellent point.

Maybe Agnes’s mysterious machine made candles when she plugged it in. We never did find out what it did.

I wonder if I could make an oil lamp that uses used car oil?
