I have always found censorship funny. The whole point of language is to express ideas, and we certainly get the idea of the censored word, even though that taboo word is not used. People are literally getting upset over a little bit of ink on a page (or more appropriately, a few pixels on a monitor). It’s OK to express the idea, as long as you don’t use the word to express that idea. Of course I’ve also always found it funny that the word for making love is considered dirtier than the word for defecating…
