So many people I know talk about the strange and hallucinatory effects of cold medicine. All I get is more drowsy, still can’t sleep, and an inability to concentrate on anything.
I never get to have any fun! \s
Suggestion from an alternative medicine doctor: take a vitamin C, and every hour take one more until you reach a dose that upsets your stomach, then back off one. This is supposed to cut your cold down to just a few days. With my mom, it was one an hour for six hour, and she was over the cold. Didn’t help me at all, but as far as I know, it can’t hurt (vitamin C is water soluble, it won’t build up). This is a very un-scientifically tested treatment!

Try wearing a wool cap. Yes; in bed, too.
That will come in handy when you find yourself in Slumberland visiting Santa.

I had a cold a few days ago. I don’t take any medicine other than an aspirin a day. I gotten a good immune system from not taking any medicines.
