My twin boys are named for a reason from long ago too. When I lived in VT we had a calico named Tara. She got pregers before we could get her fixed. She had a litter of 5. The first born was the biggest. Followed by 2 that looked just like him. We named the first three Huey, Dewey and Louie because they looked like little ducks. (reference to old Donald Duck nephews). At 12 weeks we had to make a heartbreaking decision to take all but one to the pet store. Huey stayed because he was the first born and we were more bonded with him. He lived 18 years. About 6 years ago I had a chance to rescue 2 adorable boys from a very bad situation. Yes, they looked just like Dewey and Louie from the past, so naming them was easy. Dewey and Louie LIVE ON :-)

There still are! Although you could probably count them on your fingers, worldwide.

What’s depressing is that I’m so old I watched those Toonces sketches on the Saturday nights they were actually live.
