Big deal, he falls into a little canal maybe 6 feet wide and about as deep, he should come to my town and fall into our 30 foot deep canal, THEN he can complain! :P
Pic of my canal, a little larger than those wonderful, quaint 18th cent canals in the UK (I’m not putting down your canals, I think they are lovely and pictoresque; just showing this for contrast) The Welland Canal, Ont Canada:
You are most welcome ! I was in the U.S.A.F. Dad was in the Army-Air Force and went USAF all the way when it became it’s own branch. Dad went in in 1946 so, no wartime action. They were in the process of shutting down Vietnam when I started. Not tons of pics, but enough. I may put some up when I’m not so busy. I feel a little like I’m being pulled from different sides. Your dancing cow was slick.
Shameless cartooner promo ahead..
I will be buying a subscription to Mark Leikness’s “Cow & Boy” which runs here at Gocom. It will be cancelled in December and go into reruns. He said he would be doing three a week, for now; he will be working at something that I guess will be more ‘bread and butter’. The strip is quirky, something like Calvin and Hobbes only more demented, which must be why I like it. He hopes to get an ad revenue stream going at the site which will help a great deal. The save Cow and Boy link is to the right of the strip. Sorry to be SPAMMING or whatever, but I dearly love the ’toon and want to see it continue.
You’re not spamming at all. Cow and Boy sounds like a great comic to me. Hope you manage to get your subscription very soon.
Good Luck!
The Dancing Cow was cute.
I hope you’re doing great and have a wonderful day.
P.S. Well done for being a veteran and well done to your Dad too!
Yeah, I agree with you.THAT is what happens when you let BOTH the Congress AND the President be controlled by the same party!!GRIDLOCK is the ONLY thing that keeps this country even slightly free anymore!!!BE THANKFUL FOR GRIDLOCK, this place would DEVOLVE into a police state if it weren’t there!!!
NEVER, NEVER vote for the same party that controls Congress for President!!
Gweedo….re craziness…there is always craziness but it shouldn’t stop you from seeing things you want to see. It’s a big planet, but people have the same problems, so we can understand eachother..I like some of the comics on INKoutbreak..I sometimes get the impression that you are as “out of place” as I am.
my new avatar proclaims it … Linda is officially getting into the holiday spirit…I put out the traditional Turkey day decorations today….and made sure the lights didnt get tangled up during storage for the past year because I called the guy who strings my lights for me in a humongous pine tree in the front yard…my lights will be up the day before Thanksgiving and I will turn them on that evening…I love the Christmas decorations that people put out up here…they really go to town doing it…and most are doing it now because by the time Thanksgiving comes around, there will be snow on the ground…we expect some sunday as a matter of fact…We also are on the path for the Canadian Pacific Christmas train, and that is always spectacular. It stops at several towns in the area, and they have entertainers (singers, comics, etc.) and accept donations for the local food shelf/bank. Its pretty and sweetly reminds you of yesteryear at the old train stations (restored) and there are always Christmas carolers. I love Christmas in Minnesota!!
“As a native of western New York, we were over the border one night and had to wait for a boat to go through. Don’t remember what we were over for as we usually always went over during daylight hours. I will not get a passport just to go to Canada these days. The whole thing is absurd and I feel, an insult. Was last there in 2000, before the craziness.”
Believe me, we Canadians feel the same way, if you want to blame someone for the passport thing, blame Bush and his “Homeland Security” thing, it was them who forced the passports on both countries (Not to mention using their clout to put up ugly security fences on my canal*)*Since the Welland is now part of the Saint-Laurence Seaway, owned 50% by the USA, they forced the Can. Govmt to do all sorts of unnecessary security measures on the canal

Like the Nun in a Catholic school who, for a demonstration of the evils of drink, took a worm and dunked it in water, and it lived.
Then she took the worm and dunked it in whisky and it died.
“NOW children, what does this show us?”, she said.
A little Irish boy raised his hand and said, “If you drink whisky you won’t get worms.”
