Life is getting along. I’m involved with pot and have been keeping myself busy. I promise, i’ll check in and out from time to time. Has anyone heard from Susan Newman?.
To pass the time I watched “Rambo 2” yesterdayNot to denigrate any Vietnam veterans or the heroic sacrifices made, according to Hollywood America could have won the war if they sent just Sylvester Stallone and Chuck Norris
I wish they had. I was there in 1970. Maybe I wouldn’t have had to go.
What a great bunch of comments today. I love the comic meme about boiling toast. As for the grammar nazi -- Take six foot jump from a three foot pier. And typography nazi -- where the hell did you come from? Geesh, I told them tolock the damn gate.
I hope you all are doing well. We had a good Mothers’ Day dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. I went home to Georgia to see my brother last week. He came through the surgery quite well. Doc thinks he got 100% of the cancer.
My Easter was good. Small family gathering. We grilled and Peggy made her sinfully delicious banana pudding. You know, temper the egg yolks with the milk and add sugar and vanilla.. And, we planted our veggies on Good Friday. Midsummer dinners are going to be excellent.
I promise I’ll be around more often. I just hate it I haven’t been able to be here with y’all. (Grammar Nazis Beware, I’m from the South) I keep getting into stressful situations but they are beginning to fall into place. The government has it set so that when applying for benefits like disability and such you have to jump through hoops like a circus dog.
Then my brother, Joe, let it be known he has a large mass in his colon. More later. His surgery will be the 30th.
Makes me ashamed to complain about my back.
Now, about these grammar nazis, poop on ’em. And the comment nazis, twice.
@Gweedo@Beviek@Six@Afficionado@Three@anyone else I forgot to mentionI’ve been missing you guys. I’ve been very busy with my mother-in-law and her cancer treatment. After she recovered enough from the surgery she had to endure 30 radiation treatments. I can drive the 85 miles to the cancer center with my eyes closed. I’m officially retired now. If I had known I would live this long I would have taken better care of myself. Ah,who the hell am I kidding, I had a lot of fun getting here.
Has our dearest friend the English French professor quit pestering around? If so I’m really glad.
