But seriously, Duesys were amazing cars, they were basically race cars under the skin (featuring then racing-only technology, such as dual overhead cams & 4 valves per cylinder). Each one was actually tested at the Indy track; which happened to be next door to the Duesenberg factory, to make sure that they would hit 120mph, at a time when the average car had a hard time going more than 70mph

Thank you all for your prayers and the healing energy sent her way. Now, pray that we get above the -3 high forecast for today…its – 8 F right now, and I have the heat cranked up to 70…I dont even want to think about Febuary’s gas bill…lol…

Linda, I hope your friend Ruth is healing nicely and I said a prayer for her.

I’m sure you probably angered one or two people in the ICU waiting room, but I’m sure you HELPED a lot more by bringing a little bit of laughter into their lives during some difficult moments. And I’m sure it helped you as well.

You were walking on what we here in the states call “black ice”. Yeah… That was a lifetime or three ago now. I decided long ago that when the lithium scrip ran out and I was far from a facility to get it renewed, to just go it alone. I wasn’t too attracted to the idea of being lifetime dependent on things that could have averse side effects. Even the less potent drugs can do things to you if you are using them for prolonged periods. I am as okay as I can be. !

Glad to hear that! And I agree with you about the ‘less potent drugs’ not that I’ve had to take any before but I know what you mean.

I was OK on the ice today but it’s mostly ‘slushy’ on the roads.
