Gweedo (Bring back Dry) Murray said, about 14 hours agoAbout my age…. maybe one up or one down. -They are single story buildings. Used to be a motel waaaay out of town back when they were built. I’m guessing 1940s – ‘50s. I have other shots lurking… The single apartments were 200 a month, includes utilities. We, the Spacer and me, were in the front building on the north side of the lot. The same building layout was duplicated on the south side. A shorter building was behind us. We were in the second last unit toward the back and when Dolan and “Red” moved out of the larger end unit we took it over for an additional $45 a month. “Red” (Eric, I think) left a job as a dishwasher at the Last American Diner. Said that there was a vacancy there. I applied and got on. The place had an art deco exterior and carried the motif to the inside.Dolan and his girlfriend, Annette, moved across to the other side of the lot, if I remember right. After some time they moved out and when they got married, Me, Ken, Mark and Todd, our other neighbors, and I believe, a guy named Brad who lived there as another friend, were all invited to the wedding out in Ft. Lupton. I enjoyed it. They had a polka band. -You find that picture, Missy and get it up here !!! Pronto. Arriba arriba ! Andeley !!! -Your memory of B.A. is better than mine, but then you have the programmies. -Bonnie is having a bonny good time. -T’marry then. -Here’s a couple shots..________________________________________________Zzzzzzzzzz… Zzzzzzz…. Just kidding. I loved reading your comment describing the flats and I loved the pictures of the diner. This sounds stupid but I always find it a bit sad when a very old building eventually gets demolished. It’s like demolishing people’s happy memories. Feel free to tell me to get a life. -I’m not sure if I like polka music or not. I’ll have to listen to some to find out. Bet it was a fantastic wedding. -I’ll have another look for that photo of me. The little book is actually my records of when I lost my baby teeth and it has fictional stories in it too. It has a page at the front where it says “Draw a picture or paste a photo of yourself here” -If I ever do find that picture. Somebody will have to enlarge it because I still don’t know how to do it. -A song you might like:Hearts on Fire-I have it on my phone.-Hope your day is wonderful.
Hey all, it’s been a busy month for our family. Hope all of you are blessed with family and friends and all you need for the New Year.
MIL is mending so very well. She’s even getting up in the morning to make coffee and let the dogs out. She still has to have 30 radiation treatments over six weeks. Keep praying.
I’ll get by when I can. The radiation treatments are 82 miles away, one way. Sooooo—-the new year will be busy for awhile.
Not the movie but I have seen lots of Laurel & Hardy episodes.I can’t remember what every single episode was about and what happened but what I CAN remember is that they were all pure classics.
Today’s strip gives MG&G a perfect opportunity to do a great serial story about “Andy and Chalkie’s magnificent adventure in Scotland”. But tomorrow they will most likely be back to their “Lame joke of the day” format.
Yes, i know what you mean. Sorry about your cat . When i lost mine, she was 22 years old. We always fed her fresh meat and fish. She was a good kitty, and would always be at the porch waiting for me , and would jump into my arms when i got out of my car. and she would come sit in my lap when i was in abad mood, and make me feel better. i still miss Tabby to this day. I think 2014 will be a better year. Just stay positive, and everything will come into place.

Lucky for them that’s not a marine cargo container on the back of that lorry, or they might be on their way to visit Aficionado.

Scotland, where the drink should be right up Andy and Chalkie’s alley. They may never want to go home!
