Reading “Andy Capp” over the years I’ve found some interesting differences between British and American English, but this one surprised me: My “Shorter Oxford Dictionary” shows both ‘tch’ and ‘tsk’ but my “American Heritage 4th” shows only ‘tsk’. Oddly, the Oxford shows ‘tsk tsk’ but not ‘tch tch’. (I have many other dictionaries I could refer to, but I have found these the best for my needs.)
