Affie’s right. Today’s Andy is a sad rehash that wasn’t terribly funny, the first time out.

I’ve always picture Andy Capp capless as bald or balding – like Alf Garnett !

Oddly enough, I never picture Andy as either bald or balding, anymore than I picture Beetle Bailey that way (you never see Beetle without his helmet). Must be his “big kid” side that influences me…..

I should’ve said “or other hat”, I suppose, but it was kind of implied……Actually, in Beetle’s college days there was just one time when he took his hat off, and the professor told him to put it back on again. (When you read those early “Beetle Bailey” strips you have to wonder how it even lasted long enough for Beetle to go into the army. Or how it was picked up for syndication in the first place!)

If it’s not beer prices going up it’s pubs closing down!

Kind of an up and down situation. Right?
