Today’s strip is not funny and a variation of a theme , our Hero Mr Andrew Capp ( sober again ) trying to get employment that gets him free beer has been done :o{ hope you have a good day Cappers past and present , our should be busy but not hectic I hope.
I thought this was funny because, 1st that he would try something like this and 2nd, due to his one track mind, that he would not come up with a better business name. However, he could try YouTube and make videos critiquing beers and pubs.
The main flaw is that Andy makes it sound like the NAME of the company is what got him rejected, instead of the fact he has no income or collateral for the loan.
Today’s comic is mildly amusing at best. It would be nice if a new artist and writer would take over Andy Capp from Mahoney, Goldsmith, and Garnett , but as Alley Oop has proved, that might not necessarily be a good thing.

I think the name of the “company” is a tad too long, Andy.

Should’ve told him that he was an influencer in the beer community.

Be thankful he didn’t ask you for an income statement, Andy.

They say one is happiest when work encompasses their passions. Andy would have been in heaven.

Andy, you should have said the name is “Quality Control Ltd”. Just don’t tell him it’s limited to beer and you decide the quality.

When it comes to tasting beer, Andy Capp is more unlimited.

Perhaps some banks did learn something from the Sub-Prime Mortgage crisis.

Michael Jackson (not the musical one, look him up) made a career out of being a beer reviewer.

There comes a time when some things come to an end. Subject to copyright laws, maybe this strip should be re-run from as early as possible.

To highlight their fiscal responsibility, a good motto for a bank in Hartlepool would be “We never loan to Andy Capp.”
