@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny ,our HERRO Mr Andrew Capp’s compulsory visit to the doctor ends up with the Medic’s diagnoses centering about Andy’s laziness and trouble rousing not Andy’s fitness for work :o) my avatar is a poster of weather prediction ,in Malta it was supposed to rain heavily today , but here’s no one cloud in the sky, come passerai la vostra Domenicha mio meno vecchio Amicho? our Sunday should be quite calm , no early morning Sunday drive ,no shopping or errands to run we both are in a good mood , but I am a little sad because the fourth friend from my Nursing School days has passed away , well we will potter about and keep hydrated till 9.30 when we will watch our Archbishop celebrate the Holy Mass on television , keep safe and a bientot pal
So then Andy says “I want a second opinion” to which the doctor replies…… wait for it…… “And you’re UGLY too!”. Thanks to Henny Youngman for all those delightful one liners.
Andy’s punchline in the last panel just isn’t funny. It would be much funnier if, in panel four, the doc gives him a clean bill of health, and Andy insists on a second opinion, then the doc gives his opinion of Andy’s character in panel five.
Certify him healthy for work and let them government force him to work or money. That could actually start a new direction that would be fun to watch. Imagine, Andy actually working!

Andy, your best bet is to give your body to science, your internal organs are already preserved in alcohol!

There’s a pill for that. Take two, lay them on the bar next to a pint of bitters. Drink the bitters, leave the pills and repeat as necessary.

But – there’s no work fit for Andy the pander

The doc nailed it, Mr Capp is unfit to work.

If Andy wanted that type of certification, he would of gone to the Vicar.

Well, Andy, that’s just one man’s opinion… which happens to be shared by everyone in Hartlepool who knows you.
