Andy must be an optimist. He’s smiling, and his glass is half full.

Ooo, that woke me up.

I can just get by on our iMac, but when I sit in front of our son’s PC, he quite rightly calls me digilliterate.

Poor Chalkie.

Yes that is quite rude. I’m sure they had a laugh though. You made them happy after all.

All these years and I never new Chalkie’s last name was White. And I mean allll thes years.

Computers are always good to learn at any age.

I don’t understand it, I just naturally assumed that when the computer goes into sleep mode, that meant me too.

Back in the days of DOS and green screens and servers that took up entire rooms, I hired a kid to be an IT geek-speak translator for the company I was working for at the time. Best hire I ever made!

Not only could this guy explain programming and how things worked in a language that the rest of us could understand, but he was an extremely patient and effective teacher.

He taught me a lot of hacks and shortcuts that cut through the engineering gobbledygook and arcane programming. Thirty-plus years later, I’m still grateful for the way he managed to get the concepts of computers into my thick Irish skull.

I always figured Chalkie wasn’t all that hard working because if he was, he wouldn’t be hanging out with a lazy low life like Andy.

Andy being trained to use a computer would givw new meaning to ‘boot it up’.

Overloading the brain with all this new s h i t will put anyone to sleep…
