Dessert at an all one may eat is just filler — Shrimp, lobster or roast beef etc. ought to be the main goal.
Alas! the days when I could indulge in such an endeavor are long gone. As a confirmed clean-plater I now prefer those establishments that just serve small portions.
Wife and I used to go to Golden Corral (are they still arround?) to fill up for the week. Three plates of entree (steak or chicken or shrimp), two of sides (potatoes, green beens, etc.) and one of desserts w/ 6 or 7 different desserts(pie, cake, jello, fresh fruit). That was for me. Wife was more moderate.
I don’t understand why some people go to a buffet and load the plate with so much food that it is piled up. By the time they eat through all of it, the stuff on the bottom is cold. Listen up; it’s a buffet. That means you can go back!
This joke predates vaudeville—by a couple millennia! (Usually of course the husband tells people the drinks are for the wife, but Andy would never be believed if he claimed that!)
Oh my goodness. That cake looks divine. I get the Chocolate Fudge Cake with ice cream when I go to the Carvery.
Another hideous dress that Flo is wearing. Just saying.

Just letting you all know that work is going great so far but there hasn’t been much to do. That will change leading up to mid August with it being the main enrolment period. Eek!

He’s such a gentleman to keep on bringing her the dessert. And then eating it for her, too.

Andy just wants to get his money’s worth. Sadly for him, the menu doesn’t include ale.

Andy doesn’t seem to have a weight problem (she does) so why not have an extra piece of dessert (or two or four)?
