Good answer

“Good day” is generally considered to be a wish, not a description. I’ve never heard anyone say, “lousy day,” even when it was.

My friends in Denmark often make it more explicit by saying (I translate), “Have a good day.” And they work many variations, such as, “Have a continued good day,” or “Have a good weekend.”

And I like to wish folks, “Have a good day… and many more!”

Fair enough for a toss, I guess, dodo.

The worst thing I can imagine is, I say “good morning” and it turns out it’s a few minutes past noon. Or “good afternoon” and it’s just 11:50. And when does it stop being afternoon and turn to evening?

It’s just so stressful.

I always say “Good Morning”, it seems easier than finding out the actual time, and I sincerely want you to have a Good Anytime.

Be thankful he’s says anything at all…some just say nothing or just grunt!

Well he doesn’t have a cell phone so he has trouble keeping track of what part of the day it is. Hey, at least it included ‘good’.

Good point and at least there is an acknowledgement by saying something “GOOD” ……… :)
