Ruth's mom tells here, "When I was your age, Grandmother always told me.." Her mom continues, "'Young ladies don't call young men on the telephone'!" Ruth complains, "You're always telling me that story, Mom! What's your point?" Her mom answers, "Beats me-- It just seems I should be giving you some kind of grief!"
I remember being maybe 16, and finding an old picture of my grandmother dancing, with shapely legs! The cognitive dissonance was overwhelming.
