Letter says, "For Mom, on Mother's Day, I thought I would take time, for once, to tell you that I know how much you love me. And that I am grateful for all..." Note continues, "..you do for me. But mostly I am grateful for the love. It's so strong, it's spooky. Like a friendly spirit, always with me, I am never alone." Gene stares at the note and thinks, "I really should buy her something!" Gene balls up his note and thinks, "She might think I'm cheap."
That letter was one gift your mother would have kept the rest of her life.
