Arlo and Janis is now an adventure strip. arlo sits in the cockpit of an airplne, smoking his pipe and wearing a leather bomber jacket. Bullets hit the sides of his plane and Arlo says, "Mayday! Mayday! We have a little problem..." Arlo says, "One the desk jockeys at fighter command didn't foresee!" The plane is drawn cartoonishly. Arlo says, "Mr. Johnson can't draw airplanes!"
Looks like an airplane version of Ludwig.
