Can it, Arlo. Janis there was sound asleep and you woke her up for that? If my husband pulled a stunt like that, I’d cheerfully plant an axe between his ears and he knows it!

I have to admit I’m as easily entertained as Arlo.

I wouldn’t wake myself up for it, but if I were awake….. I’d watch.

Just killed me when they moved daylight saving time, and I had to turn off the automatic adjustment on my VCR, cos you can’t change the dates.

Now I can’t come out to the living room two mornings a year and marvel at the magic.

    Sigh…..

That’s OK Susan. Boot up the computer and turn on the DVR/cable box.

I assume if you were working during the time change, they let you go home an hour early? Or did they have to pay you overtime for the “fall back” hour?

I never thought of watching the time change on the cable box. Maybe next time, if I remember. But I would NOT turn the light on!

At my house, resetting the regular clocks is easy enough. Getting the dog to reset her tummy clock is a pain. Spring isn’t so bad, she doesn’t mind getting fed “early.” Fall is the problem. I’ll be getting the stink eye for a hour before it’s really dinner time.

When my girl friend bruised her ribs she was in a lot of pain. Working on the logic that it’s best to take pain pills before the others wear off completely, I woke her up at 4 in the morning to administer them……..um, let’s just say, none of the first things she said were even close to a thank you. In fact, it’s still kind of a “sore” subject…

I have an alarm clock that is pre-programmed to reset itself, however it is set with the old dates in it. So I get to change the time four times in one year.

I’m surprised Arlo would waste his money on cable TV. I realize in 2011 streaming wasn’t so big yet— but even then, just use an antenna to get free broadcast TV, plus a Channelmaster DVR to record what you want and skip through the commercials.
