Transcript:
Janis: I just LOVE all this extra counter space!
Janis: It makes the whole kitchen seem bigger!
Janis: And it's all thanks to my hubby, the genius!
Janis: So what did you do with the espresso machine?
Arlo: Curb.
@Jean, yes. I copped a drafting table and 4 large flat files for my engineering office. I draw in AutoCad(t) of course, but a place to store paper plans and roll them out is still needed.
i am always amazed at what people leave behind. i live in a part of the city where there is a lot of moving because of the area colleges. in addition to furniture have found computers, cds , clothing, small appliances but what still can’t get over people leaving almost complete sets of serviceable cookware. frying pans, sauce pans, dutch ovens! WHAT! they are never ever going to have to cook again in their lives! even if you won the lottery wouldn’t you want to be able to heat up some soup sometime? also they are so lazy they can’t be bothered to call the Salvation Army or Gooodwill to donate the items?
Around here we have “Freecycle” – you can post items you no longer need and folks post back and ask for them. You can also say you need such-and-such and usually somebody will have it.
My favorite is my dad took the tank off the toilet bowl to carry out to the curb. He carried out the bowl and by the time he went back in to get the tank the bowl was gone.

You’d have to pry my espresso machine from my cold, dead fingers.

i picked up an almost new mower last year. It had a broken wheel mount. I fabricated a new one and I’ve got a free mower.
