I like to listen to music on media like radio and TV that other people are listening to at the same time so that we can kind of commune, and so that some knowledgeable commentator can tell me what I’m listening to and maybe give some background on the music.
Also, someone else has picked the selections, so that my musical horizons are widened.
Technology allows a meeting of minds which are physically thousands of miles apart. It also frees us from interacting with people who are mere feet away. In some cases, that might save lives since there are some we have NEVER been able to be near without conflict..To me, the main thing is that people CHOOSE. They are not forced to be with or away from others..This is a good thing.

There are still those (I one) who prefer analog (records) over digital (CDs).
