Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for September 02, 2014
Transcript:
Arlo: Any word from the kids? Janis: No. Arlo: I'm curious how the last big weekend went! Janis: Me, too! Janis: I'm glad the restaurant is closing! They were working themselves to death! Arlo: At least they had jobs and income! Janis: Did I say I was going to stop worrying?
I was thinking a few days ago they would probably go there….
Last chance to all be at the restaurant together… to say goodbye to it….And to spend the last weekend of summer on the sailboat… which they seldom visit, though of course, we don’t see every minute of their lives, so they may do it when we’re not “watching” them.
I’ve not been clear on whether Gus is selling the property, or just the business, making him the landlord for the new owners.
If he sells it all, they also need to find a new berth.
I have to remind myself that in comicsland, of course, such things just take care of themselves…. For all Arlo’s angst, he really has little to worry about. A stroke of the pen fixes anything!
