Ah, memories of coming home from church on Sunday and watching TV with Dad; The Three Stooges, followed by All-Star Wrestling. I couldn’t tell when the first ended and the second started…

Aaahh! I just LOVE it when the comments go off on a apolitical, good natured tangent! As for wrassling, must see as a kid! Leaping Larry Shane, The Sheik, Bobo Brazil (he was a black role model, at the time. Mama said, "Eat your grits and you will grow up like Bobo. Enough to make me not eat grits for years!)As for the Stooges……

I liked the “very serious” discussions between Bobby the Brain and Gorilla Monsoon. Reminds me of some current political discourse.

For 3 Stooge fans see if you can find a copy of the film “Stooge Mania”, a wonderful tribute to the Three Stooges.

I ruined Pro “Wrestling” for my wife, I took her to a live match. It was more interesting watching the fans….

Jimmy, I’ll try my post again, it disappeared. I have to wonder if Ludwig has ever had a moment such as Hobbs, here: http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes

Does anyone remember The Mighty Igor? We had the good fortune to know him during the last dozen or so years of his life. I was never into wrestling, but it was a highlight of my husband’s childhood when a friend’s older brother would take them all to Cobo Hall in Detroit to watch the wrestlers. Decades later, my husband was delighted to learn that the Mr. Garza we had just met had been Igor. My husband loved to listen to all the stories he would tell about what it was like back in his day, back when wrestling was more “real”, sort of, and before wrestlers were coddled superstars. “Chicken beaks and @$$holes” That’s how he described the food they were given back then, on the road, I assume. We still get a warm chuckle to this day, thinking of him, and his stories, and this catchphrase.

You can bounce a laser off the mirrors they left behind while faking it..The movie SNEAKERS , I think it was Robert Redford asks, “Are you sure this will work?”Dan Akroyd responds, “Same technology they used to fake the moon landings.”
