sorta like “stand on one leg, facing East, stick out your tongue, now hold the clothes hanger at a 92 degree angle towards the rising full moon. good, still no signal? well call tomorrow when the offices are open then, we’re the support team and based in Bangladesh”

I thought he was also recalling similar instructions when they had a roof antenna or bunny ears.

I remember a rotating roof antenna, there was a controller kept by the TV that we could change the direction of the antenna with.

The references to a modem and router are for the internet rather than the television. Comments on the television would be concerning the cable box or DVR.

I worked in electronics, and the mantra was “If in doubt, plug it in.” Then re-plug it in. It’s amazing how many times this works.

I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be Janis under the desk, but the colorist has confused things by making her sweater red and her slacks blue, just like Arlo’s. And yes, sometimes the only way to restore high resolution streaming video on our Roku/Hulu/WiFi setup at home is to unplug everything and replug it.

Does nobody notice the colorist error? That’s Janis under the furniture, her shoes, and Arlo is talking from out of the frame while she’s under the desk.

I guess that’s one situation where Yoga lessons actually have a real life application – Downward facing Dog.

I’m surprised Arlo wasn’t saying, “Shake it some. Now move it up and down. Wiggle it. Okay. I guess we had better go back to trying to make the TV work.”

It’s all the same nonsense people used to go through when installing and aligning a roof antenna. (Does anyone here even remember having a roof antenna? Get offa my lawn, you whippersnappers!)

From her angle, he should be wanting a little something “under the moon”… :)

I did not know that “plug it up” was the opposite of “unplug”, except for when talking about plumbing…

“Plug it up” is likely a Southernism. I heard it used by my Afro-american customers when I ran a stereo repair shop in Connecticut.

I think Arlo is really having a good time watching Janis under the desk. As some else already noted, the view is great.

At least three things going on here but the one that gets me is the butt joke. Arlo is a bit of a dog.
